Squirtle – rescue Olive Ridley turtle Marine Savers Maldives (0001)

September 2018

Squirtle continues to suffer from buoyancy syndrome, and the air in her body cavity is predominantly on one side which makes her lopsided. To try to rectify this imbalance, she now wears a special weighted belt.

Sadly, Squirtle suddenly stopped eating and died the following day. A subsequent necropsy only found air pockets, and no specific cause of death.
