Flipsy 
Hawksbill Turtle Hatchling, EI.N014.046, admitted 19 June 2018, Gili Lankan Fushi, Maldives
Weight/Length – 12g/3.8cm (admission); 82g/7.9cm (Oct-18);
Flipsy (EI.046) from Gili Lankan Fushi was found stuck in the nest after all her siblings had dug their way out. She presented a deformation of the flipper and a skin infection, but is otherwise active and already diving after food. We will keep her until she is better able to survive by herself in the wild.


Updates July 2018
Flipsy is getting stronger each day, and is now sharing a pool with Toby, Amelia and Purp. She enjoys playing with the other hatchlings and eating as fast as she can!

Flipsy is healthy and continues to grow. She enjoys playing with the other hatchlings and diving for food.

Sadly, Flipsy was found unresponsive on 10 March; cause of death was thought to be a severe infection.
