Lulu #2
juvenile Olive Ridley turtle (RB.LO.229), admitted 10 March 2022, Kamadhoo, Baa Atoll, Maldives
Weight / Length: 22.4kg / 54.3cm (on admittance);
On 10 March, Lulu was found entangled in a fishing net (along with another turtle, Louisa) close to the island of Kamadhoo. Thanks to Helen and the guests on our dolphin spotting trip from Landaa Giraavaru.
Fortunately, Lulu had not sustained any serious injuries, and was able to swim, dive and eat normally. After several days at our turtle rescue centre, she was successfully released back into the ocean on 14 March.
