- Branches/columns commonly upright but can be horizontal and irregular- growth form depends on wave action

Radial Corallites:
- Smooth
- Rounded
- Exsert
Similar species: Acropora cuneata has smaller and flatter branches with finer, rounder and shorter corallites.
Environment: Wide range of reef environments
