- Arborescent growth and can form thickets
- Slender, usually with straight branches
- Irregularly spaced sub-branches

Colour: Grey, cream or brown with light tips
Radial Corallites:
- Numerous, small and normally uniform in size
Similar species: Acropora muricata has thicker branches and fewer sub-branches.
Environment: Upper reef slopes and lagoons
