Appearance:
- Corymbose clumps or tables
- Branches highly variable in length
Colour: Usually pale blue-grey, bright blue, green or cream
Axial Corallites: Small and distinct
Radial Corallites:
- Two sizes
- Crowded
- Prominent lower lips give scale-like appearance
Similar species: Acropora millepora has radial corallites of uniform size. A. pulchra has finer radial corallites.
Habitat: Shallow reef flats and lagoons, upper reef slopes and deep water.
